Following the development of the new NZ Familial Gastrointestinal Cancer Service brand, RedSpark Creative designed and developed a new website to provide a clear, accessible and reassuring online resource for patients, families and healthcare professionals.

The subject matter is complex, covering hereditary gastrointestinal cancer, family history, genetic risk and ongoing surveillance, so the website needed to make important information easy to understand and navigate. We created a clean, approachable interface with a logical content structure, helping visitors quickly find information about the service, familial cancer syndromes, risk assessment, referrals and ongoing support.

The visual design extended the new brand identity across the digital experience, using the distinctive family-tree-inspired logo and a considered visual language that balanced the seriousness of the subject with a sense of optimism and reassurance.

The result was a professional yet approachable website that helped demystify familial gastrointestinal cancer and made specialist information more accessible to the people and families who needed it.

The NZ Familial Gastrointestinal Cancer Service is now incorporated into Health New Zealand, and the original website has since been retired.
