RedSpark has had a long and happy relationship with StarJam, one of New Zealand’s most exciting charities that helps young people with disabilities unleash their potential through the power of music and performance. We started working with StarJam to develop their marketing campaigns in 2015.
When the StarJam team approached us in late 2018, the charity had evolved into a larger, more dynamic organisation from the humble beginnings of their early days. The visual brand no longer reflected what they now stood for – fun, vibrant, energetic, inclusive, positive and passionate. They wanted a new identity to project these values with an inspirational visual brand.
This was a challenge we embraced and took on as a pro-bono project to show our support. We developed a new logo which encapsulates the essence of StarJam, and they were delighted with the result. The logo is vibrant and energetic and stands for fun in a supportive group of individuals from all backgrounds. The colours project passion and the music notes are an obvious nod to StarJam’s music and performance.
We then designed the business card using the new brand look and feel. And StarJam continues to unveil the new brand on their website, signage, uniforms, promotional materials and at fundraising events, receiving overwhelmingly positive feedback.
